New Members on the Pilatus Board of Directors and Management

Bruno Cervia, longstanding VP Research & Development at Pilatus, will be proposed for election as a new member of the Board of Directors at next year’s Annual General Meeting. His previous operational role as VP Engineering will transfer to Igor Medici from January 1, 2026. Both these appointments underline Pilatus’ goal of reinforcing the organization both strategically and operationally, and of aligning it for the future.

As a member of the management and Deputy CEO, Bruno Cervia has managed the Research and Development Unit since 2009. Cervia joined the company in 1986 as a graduate aerodynamics engineer and has successfully held numerous positions within the business over the course of his career. He was responsible among other projects for the development of the PC-24, the PC-7 MKX and the latest version of the PC-12 – the PC-12 PRO. He currently heads an international team of some 500 engineers dedicated to all development projects at Pilatus.

From spring 2026 he will join and strengthen the Pilatus Board of Directors as an additional member, bringing his extensive expertise to bear at strategic level.

Igor Medici to join the Management

Bruno Cervia will be succeeded by Igor Medici, another longstanding member of the Research and Development Department: born in Ticino, he has been with the company since 2009 and holds a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering. He currently manages a team of around 100 employees who focus specifically on new aircraft development projects.

Hansueli Loosli, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pilatus, comments: “We have long planned to fill this important position on the Board of Directors with someone who is highly technically qualified in this specific area. Bruno Cervia has so far been involved in major projects at operational level. His extensive experience in engineering and aviation is an ideal addition to our Board. In Igor Medici we have also found an outstanding successor for the important operational role: I am confident he is the ideal person to fill the big gap left by Bruno Cervia, and I know he will join CEO Markus Bucher and the management team in helping to successfully shape the future of Pilatus.”

In addition, Ioannis Papachristofilou, a member of the management since 2024 and VP Government Aviation, will take over from Bruno Cervia as Deputy CEO as of January 1, 2026.
