Payroll and Benefits Administrator

Pilatus is hiring a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for administering payroll processes and record-keeping for multiple employee groups. You will also perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of the benefits function. What you do

  • Administers payroll processes, including reviewing and updating employee records (exemptions, deductions, benefits, paid time off), verifying time records, and processing bi-weekly/monthly/on-demand payroll through a third-party vendor
  • Audits and reconciles payroll accounts, ensuring accurate tax reporting, wage assignments, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions
  • Manages compliance-related payroll tasks such as garnishment processing and payroll-related reporting
  • Serves as primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving employee and manager questions regarding policies, discrepancies, benefits enrollments, 401(k) plan, and status changes
  • Administers benefits enrollments, eligibility updates, and reconciles vendor invoices to ensure billing accuracy
  • Manages employee leave requests including FMLA, CO FAMLI, long-term disability, and ADA accommodation processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
  • Administers workers' compensation claims, OSHA reporting, and prepares annual OSHA 300/300A reports
  • Tracks tuition reimbursement benefits and maintains records of completed training courses
  • Supports and prepares documentation for year-end audits including 401(k) retirement plan and workers compensation
  • Other Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assists in organizing employee activities, events, and additional duties as needed
  • Improves payroll job knowledge by attending training sessions and reading technical publications

What you bring

  • Associate's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of training/experience
  • Solid working knowledge of payroll best practices and experience with Paylocity or similar software
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
  • Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines
  • Customer service, clerical, and accounting skills
  • Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use; ability to lift up to 15 pounds
