Aircraft Seating Technician

Pilatus is hiring a Seating Technician to join our aircraft completions team in Broomfield, CO. You will be working with top-of-the-line materials and soft-goods to construct the customized seating upholstery that goes into our market-leading business aircraft, the PC-12 NGX single engine turboprop and the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. PRODUKTION & FERTIGUNG
SEAT PRODUCTION

Your place of work: Broomfield, USA

What you do

  • Inspects incoming materials, including leather and synthetic materials for use in the production area
  • Lays out, cuts, and sews parts for finished goods from locally manufactured templates
  • Sews and topstitches various materials together as per applicable drawings and templates
  • Bonds various materials together using different methods and adhesives
  • Applies and finishes wrap materials to seat shrouds and closures
  • Works within ERP/MRP system to maintain labor tracking and Job Card/Task sign-offs
  • Uses safety equipment and complies with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
  • Effectively communicates with management and Team Leads to fulfill customer delivery dates

  • Works with Leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and refine skills and techniques
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy work area
  • Assists coworkers and other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead or Director

What you bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three (3) years related experience or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • Basic understanding of 8 wastes and LEAN manufacturing methods preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations
  • Ability to use hand tools, industrial sewing machines, leather splitter/skiver and/or other specialize equipment; ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Regular attendance and willingness to work overtime as required
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.62
