Aircraft Systems Engineer II

What you do
- Designs, develops, implements, and manages modifications to PC-12 and PC-24 aircraft from concept through completion of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) process
- Specifies, implements, tests, and certifies ISR platform applications for PC-12 and PC-24
- Compiles and authors technical content and illustrations for airworthiness (ICA, SB, Instructions) and operational documents (AFMS, Platform Operator documentation)
- Plans, coordinates, and liaise with all departments for certification activities required to achieve FAA STC approvals, Field Approvals, maintenance, and validation of current and future approvals
- Functions as project coordinator with internal and external stakeholder for assigned projects
- Prepares various reports, inspection, and test/acceptance procedures
- Identifies and manages outside engineering products and services suppliers with respect to statement of work, schedule, design review, project management, and product certification Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Supports technical meetings, design reviews, and product acceptance with customers and authorities
- Provides technical guidance in all aspects of avionics, electrical, and aircraft systems integration
- Coordinates various engineering aspects with Pilatus Aircraft OEM Engineering in Switzerland to ensure conformance with established engineering standards, procedures, and practices
What you bring
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of related experience in aviation required
- Experience with complex aircraft design, modification, and certification projects preferred (Pilatus PC-12/PC-24 type and/or latest generation Integrated Flightdeck familiarity strongly desired)
- Strong familiarity and demonstrated experience with 14 CFR Part 23 compliance requirements (TCCA CAR523 and EASA CS 23 experience beneficial)
- CAD application knowledge [ECAD experience is a must (OrCAD desired) as well as PDM/PLM familiarity such as Siemens Teamcenter, Unigraphics, Solid Edge application knowledge is beneficial]
- Excellent report writing, presentation skills, and multitasking ability
- Demonstrated experience in Completions Center or Part 145 Repair Station environment beneficial
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Must meet the criteria of a U.S. person as defined under ITAR 22 CFR 120.62
